Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier

Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier

Thriller with gotic tones, published for the first time in 1938, is perhaps one of the first thriller novels focused on marriage. The story of a young woman who marries a man haunted by the memory of his first wife, Rebecca, who hovers on the couple and seems to leed thenew bride to the the brink of madness. A disturbing novel, suitable for those who love the genre and appreciates a more classic style of writing.

Almost at the end of this amazing series 🍂
.
Why on earth haven’t I listened to all the people that was recommending it to me until now?
..oh, hang on, I know why... BECAUSE IS NOT COMPLETE YET!! .
And now I am religiously reading a chapter a day ( I cheat sometimes) to make it lasts as long as I can hoping not to wait too long before the next one will be released. Any news about it? .
.

A Monday that look like a Friday.
.
Today we turned on the light and went outside in the backyard to enjoy the chilly night around a small fire, drinking ginger beer and easting roasted bread.
Love you, Autumn 🍂

Adoro l’Autunno 🍂

I have delayed the beginning of the week by one day and made the most out of it.
•
I have spent the entire day doing nothing but laying on the hammock with a book, enjoying the breeze and the peace of my backyard, keeping out any thought about work or the busy week ahead that for me is quite an achievement and not an easy one to reach considering by workaholic nature.
After all, isn’t it “busy” the new standard for everything?
•
Tell me what book are you reading now and if it’s a nay or yay ✍🏻
.
.

Home office goals 🙌🏼
•
Whenever I feel like I want to achieve something and really focus I sit here at my desk, in the room that we call office but is in reality just a spare room that we share. I had breakfast with leftover pizza and spent the day planning a few things for the wedding . In the end I’ve spent nearly 4 hours on Pinterest looking for “inspiration” but I managed to complete task #1 : invitations .
•
•
