First of all, I have to say that never in my life I read a book like this. Clare Mackintosh does magic with words and is a fine storyteller. So fine, I was tricked unders my nose and I didn't realize was I was reading untill the end of the book. Wow wow wow!!!!

Briefly, after a tragic accident Jenna moves to a remote cottage on the Welsh coast, but she is haunted by grief and her memories of the accident that changed her life forever. Slowly, Jenna recoverd and starts to belive she could have a freash, happy start. But her past is about to catch up with her pulling her back.

It's not easy to talk about the plot of this book without the risk to make some spoiler but lets say that I LET YOU GO is the book with the best twist I ever read. Clare Mackintosh is a very good writer, she interwine her characters stories so cleverly to create a book that is able to engage the reader so deeply that when the twist came you can just stare at the page for 5 minutes thinking or that you must have skip a pages. "IT CAN'T BE! " , that's what I found myself saiyng out loud on the bus!  (weird)

It was, with no doubt, a great book but I can't just overcome the fact that I really didn't like the fast part involving police investigation and the detectives lifes. While I was bored by the story of the two cops I wondered why people were so excited about this book that from my point of view, couldn't develop in any possible original way. And then the twist happened and I feel like it wasn't even the same book.

It was a magnificent read , poignant and dazzling. It shocked me ones and then again and again and I couldn't just believe was I was reading. It has atmosphere, it was like being there, the storitelling so well turned and emphatic. It was gripping.. it was pretty much all the good things you can think about a very well done thriller.

A book I will recommend to everybody.

An easy five star would be totally fair, except that the first part really bothered me.  So 4.5 is my rating and this book has gone on my favourite's shelf.  I am looking forward fro more of Clare Mackintosh books in the future.
